Project Network South Africa (ProNET SA/ Project Network SA) is a registered non-profit and public benefit organisation working to improve safety, resilience and socio-economic opportunities in vulnerable communities across South Africa. Our programmes focus on practical community-based interventions including fire prevention and emergency preparedness, distribution of fire-safety equipment, skills development, community education, youth and creative initiatives, and partnerships that strengthen local capacity. A key area of our current work is Dunoon Township in Cape Town, where densely populated informal settlements face significant fire and emergency risks. Through our Fire Safety and Community Resilience Programme, we aim to provide households with essential fire-safety equipment, deliver practical training and awareness programmes, and build community capacity to prevent and respond to fires. We are also developing film and educational initiatives that use storytelling to raise awareness of fire safety, emergency preparedness and wider social challenges. Project Network South Africa works collaboratively with communities, professionals, businesses, government institutions and funding partners to develop sustainable programmes that create measurable social impact and contribute towards safer, more resilient and inclusive communities.
